How do I keep track of my volunteer hours?

As an RSVP volunteer, it is very important that you complete and return your timesheet each quarter. The program receives its funds based on the number of volunteers in the program and the number of volunteer hours you turn in.

In the quarterly newsletter, you will receive a new timesheet to complete. Or, if you would like to download and print a copy, click here.

Timesheet Tips

Act as if the person reading your timesheet is new to the areas, so you need to be very specific about the agency you volunteered with and what you did at the agency. Please do not use acronyms, spell everything out. Use the following steps to complete the form:

* First print your name at the top of the timesheet.
* Under Agency Name, list the agency or agencies you volunteered with during that quarter. List each agency one time and on a separate line.
* Under Position Type, write what you did (mailing, driver, cashier, etc).
* Record the total number of hours you volunteered at each agency during the specified month.
* Include the total number of hours you volunteered each month and the grand total of the hours you volunteered for the three-month period.
* Be sure to sign at the bottom of the timesheet. All timesheets without a signature at the bottom will have to be returned to you.

Should you have any questions about completing the form, there is an example at the bottom of the timesheet. Also, feel free to call the Volunteer Center at 913-341-1792 if you need additional help.
