VMI is an eight-week certification program presented by the Volunteer Center with sponsorship provided by the Bank of America Private Trust, the Jewish Heritage Foundation and the Sprint Foundation.

VMI is a great way for volunteer managers to learn about the most current trends in volunteer management, to discuss ways to deal with issues and challenges related to volunteer management, network and build relationships with other professionals in their field.

Once selected for the program, participants complete eight professional management training sessions followed by graduation. These three-hour sessions are held once a week for eight weeks and focus on the core concepts underlying volunteer management.

The next class begins September 2, 2008. Sessions are every Tuesday from 8:00 to 11:00 am at the Volunteer Center of Johnson County.
